Solsticio de verano, pero aún podemos seguir disfrutando de las flores de primavera. En mi caso me transportan a un fresco verano en Inglaterra, donde se originaron los populares estampados de liberty. Los clásicos estampados florales pueden transformar un look, dándoles un toque femenino, fresco y romántico. Prueba distintas combinaciones como un top sin tirantes con unos vaqueros, unas zapatillas con un vestido o mono negro, o con pequeños detalles en los accesorios.

Ice Cold

  ¡FRÍO!Estas noches invernales lo que más me apetece es ponerme cómoda y calentita, y disfrutar de un buen libro o una peli tomando un té. Últimamente estoy dedicándole más tiempo a los libros de ilustración y diseño gráfico, uno nunca puede renunciar a su vocación,¿no? 
Soy friolera, así que en casa, me gusta llevar un buen jersey calentito y calcetines.Tengo en casa el pack de Kusmi Tea y me han sorprendido los sabores tan fantásticos. Casada con un inglés y después de haber vivido en Inglaterra, en mi casa se bebe té todos los días. Mi favorito es el la caja verde turquesa, es parecido a un té de Navidad que solemos comprar en una tienda de Granada, (aquí también se bebe mucho té verde). Mmmmmm ¡chocolate! simplemente delicioso.¿cuál es tu plan para estas noches de invierno?
   ICE COLD! These wintry nights I just want to be cozy and warm, and spend some relaxing time reading a good book or waching a film with a cup of tea. Lately, I'm mostly enjoying ilustration books and graphic design books, I guess it's my thing, isn't it?
I really feel the cold, so when I'm at home I like to wear a warm jumper and cozy socks.
I have tried this Kusmi Tea green tea sampler and I was surprised. It's so delicious! Married to an english boy and had been living in England for a while, we drink tea as part of our daily routine. My favourite one is the one in the teal tin, it's similar to a Xmas tea we used to buy in a tea shop in Granada, (we drink some green tea around here too). YUMM chocolate!!!It's so delicious. Golden Days

Aunque aquí no lo parezca en Granada, el otoño ya está aquí. Poco a poco vamos añadiendo capas a nuestra vestimenta para adaptarnos a los cambios climáticos que se producen en un sólo día.¿Quién no ha salido de casa con un precioso cielo azul de verano y ha vuelto empapada tras una repentina tormenta? Es el momento perfecto para ir mezclando vestidos y largas faldas de verano con algo más otoñal. Mis complementos favoritos estos días: un buen par de botas, un sombrero de fieltro, un pañuelo y una rebeca. Esta es mi propuesta con aire romántico-bohemio y colores otoñales para esta semana, ¿cual es la tuya?

Although it doesn´t like feel like autumn in Granada, It´s here to stay. We are adding more layers to our outfits to adapt them to this changing weather. You leave home with a beautiful summery blue sky and then return soaked after a sudden storm. This is the perfect time of the year to combine those summery dresses and long skirts with more autumnal garments. My favourite accessories these days: a good pair of boots, a fedora, a shawl and a cardigan.

Me encantan las fresas, y no puedo dejar de comprarlas ahora que estamos en temporada, (lo bueno dura poco). Inspirada en la recolección de fresas, he creado este look casual chic. Poseo prendas muy similares a estas, excepto la chaqueta, habrá que ir buscando una ¿no? Aunque ya ha llegado la primavera, por aquí sopla viento de montaña.

I love strawberrys, and I can't stop buying them now they are on season, (good things don't last for too long). Inspired by the strawberry harvest, I put together this casual chic outfit. I own very similar garments, except for the jacket. I guess it's time to look for one, isn't it? Although it's spring, you can feel the mountain wind blowing around here.

Días blancos / White days

No es un secreto que no me gusta el invierno, especialmente desde que soy mamá. Para la mayoría de las madres es la estación de las -itis, sobretodo los primeros años de la infancia. Así andamos los últimos meses entre resfriados y otitis, aunque por suerte sólo la peque, ¡pobre!. Ayer teníamos previsión de nieve, y aunque no llegó, se quedó bastante cerca. Así, que algo así me apetecía llevar esta mañana, algo de flores para hacerme creer que ya no queda tanto para la primavera. A veces lo más cómodo y abrigado no es lo que más nos favorece o atrae, hay que buscar el equilibrio.¿Cómo te vistes estos días? ^.^

It's not a secret that I dislike winter, even more since I'm a mum. It's the season of infections, specially in the early years. That's what is been happening at home, colds and ear infections, but only my little girl, poor thing! We had snow predicted for yesterday, It didn't snow here, but pretty close. So this morning I felt like wearing something like this, some florals to trick my mind thinking that spring it's not that far. Último finde del verano; te voy a echar de menos, ¿sabes? Ayer estuve organizando la ropa de mi peque y tomé algunas fotos con un sentimiento agridulce. La mitad ya no le sirve, ¡como han crecido mis niños este verano! Lo bueno, es que el verano también nos ha regalado dos sobrinas preciosas y ellas podrán usarlas. Algunos de estos vestidos, han sido hechos a mano, lo que los hace más especiales. Más fotos la próxima semana.

Last weekend of the summer; I´m going to miss you, do you know? Yesterday I was organizing my little girl wardrove, and I took some pics with a bittersweet feeling. Half of these, don´t fit her anymore, How much have my children grown during the summer? The good thing about it, is that summer brought us two beautiful nieces that would wear them. Some of these dresses are handmade which make them even more special. More pics next week.

Uñas / Nails

Últimamente he vuelto a pintar mis uñas. No las suelo llevar muy largas y más bien entre redondeadas y cuadradas, pero los últimos 2 años me había acostumbrado a llevarlas sin pintar o con una capa de brillo. El tener que lavar a mano, casi a diario, alguna prenda infantil, hace que no me dure mucho la manicura, y no voy sobrada de tiempo, para andar retocando.

Me encanta la actual tendencia de uñas imaginativas y alegres. No me he podido resistir y estas vacaciones he empezado a experimentar con nuevos colores... Cuando se avecinan días ajetreados, apuesto por algo más atrevido en los pies (siempre dura más) y nada o brillo para las manos. Si la cara es el espejo del alma, las manos también dicen mucho de uno mismo.
Me encantan estas propuestas:
Lately I started to paint my nails again. I don´t usually have my nails too long, between square a round shape, but the last two years I´ve got used to have no nail polish or just some gloss.I have to do some hand wash of little kids stains almost everyday, so my manicure doesn´t last for long , and I don´t have much time to redo it.
I´m loving the actual nail trend; so imaginitive and cheerful. I couldn´t resist it and last holidays I started to try out new colors...When I know busy days are comming, I just wear something brighter at my toe nails (always last longer) and nothing else or just gloss at my hand nails. The hands can tell a lot about oneself.

Summer heat

¡Hola! Como va vuestro verano? Aquí los peques lo están disfrutando a tope, como siempre: mucha diversión, polos, juegos de agua, cazando insectos del jardín, un poco de deberes...Ahora hace bastante calor, así que cada vez que podemos vamos a la piscina de los abuelos y pasamos nuestras vacaciones en la playa.

Hablemos de bañadores y bikinis. ¿Cual es tu estilo? Yo estaría feliz llevando algo así, me encanta la falda larga. ^.^

Hello there! How is your summer going? Here kids are enjoying it as usual: lots of playtime, ice lollies, water games, catching some insects in the garden, a little homework...It´s really  hot now, so any time we can we go to my parents swimming pool and we spend our holidays at the beach.

Escapada / An escape

I love this look; It´s comfortable with style. Perfect for the variable weather we are having recently. I would wear it to go for a walk at the park, for a shopping trip, or an escape to the beach. We need to take the kids there, they can´t wait to go and we can´t wait to see them cover in sand. Next weekend we have nicer weather we´ll go. ^.^

Customiza tu armario / Customize your wardrobe

PARCHES CON ♥♥♥

Los he visto en jerséis, vaqueros, bolsillos de faldas... pero no se me había ocurrido hacerlo hasta que ayer me encontré con unos vaqueros que los necesitaban. No me importan unos rotos pero según que sitio, claro.

Materiales: Parches vaqueros, tijeras para cortar tela, plancha y la prenda que queráis customizar.

1. Doblar el parche por su mitad vertical y luego su mitad horizontal. Intentad hacerlo lo más perfecto posible ya que así obtendremos 2 corazones iguales y simétricos.
2. Empezar a cortar el corazón desde la parte exterior hasta llegar a la mitad.
3. Cuando lleguéis a este punto desdoblad y tendréis 2 corazones iguales, (así también duplicamos el nº de parches).
4. Podéis planchar bien la zona sobre la que vais a fijarlos para evitar las arrugas. Poner el parche donde deseéis y calentar la plancha a la temperatura indicada por el fabricante. Seguid las indicaciones y del mismo y listos. Esto es todo, rápido y fácil.

Imagino muchas aplicaciones y diferentes motivos flores, monstrous, comecocos... Ya sé de unos niños que a partir de ahora va a tener unos superparches personalizados. Y vosotros, ¿cómo los habéis utilizado? Espero vuestros comentarios.^.^

PATCHES WITH ♥♥♥

Recently, I have seen ♥ patches everywhere on jumpers, trousers, pockets... I never thought about doing it, until yesterday when I found some jeans that really need them. I don´t mind worn out jeans but it depens on what you are showing, do you know what I mean?
Materials: denim patches, sharp scissors,an iron and the garment you want to use.

1. Fold the patch verticaly, right in the middle, repeat now fold it horizontaly. Try to do it as perfect as you can as it can affect the end result: two perfect hearts totaly simetrical. (you could use some pins if you like)
2. Cut the top of the heart starting from the outside until you reach the middle.
3. Once you reach that point, unfold it and there you have it, two hearts. We have dupliceted the number of patches.
4. You should iron the area to avoid crease. Place the heart and iron following the  manufacturer instructions. That´s it! Quick and easy!

I can imagine different aplications and motifs: fllowers, monsters... I know two little children who are going to have the coolest custom patches. Have you done it? How did you used them?  I'm looking foward to read your comments. ^.^

Charming retro / Encanto retro

De vez en cuando juego en mi armario imaginario. Hoy me he puesto un par de looks retro. Me gusta más el revival de los 60 y 70 más que la de los ochenta, así que un poco inspirada por una de mis series favoritas, Mad Men, he imaginado que llevaría para pasar un día en la oficina de Sterlig Cooper y asistir a una fiesta de cócteles. Estudié publicidad como parte de mi formación universitaria dentro de la rama de diseño gráfico. Tuve la suerte de trabajar en un estudio de packaging y la dinámica de trabajo y relación con el cliente es parecida, el brainstorming, la presentación de las maquetas... es uno de los aspectos que me atraen de esta serie americana, sin olvidar el diseño de interiores, la moda, sus carismáticos personajes... en fin, no puedo esperar a que se estrene la próxima temporada.¿Seguis esta serie? ¿Tenéis predilección por alguna época? 

Once in a while I like to play with my imaginery wardrobe. Today I have chosen two retro looks. I'm into 60's and 70's revival more than 80's, so I was inspired by one of my favourites tv shows at the moment, Mad Men. I imagine what I would wear if I was going to work for Sterling Cooper for a day, and have a cocktails party in the evening. I studied publicity as part of my graphic design degree at the University. I was lucky enough to work in a packaging studio and the dinamic looks similar: brainstorming, meeting and presenting your work to the client... This is one of the reasons why I love this program, but also the interior design, the fashion and all those carismatic characters... I can't wait for next season to start. Do you watch it? Is there any style that you like in particular?^.^

La cuesta de Enero, uff. La Navidad oficialmente se ha acabado, es tiempo de rebajas y si podemos haremos algunas compras. Hace más frío que nunca. Admito que no me gusta el invierno y especialmente esta época del año. Mi solución es pensar que cada día es más largo que el anterior y ya queda menos para la primavera. Me enfundo unas capitas de ropa cual cebolla, eso sí algo, que me guste y me haga sentir bien, quizás algún accesorio en un color llamativo y a pasear. Los días soleados en invierno también tienen su encanto. Ah!, y no os olvidéis de vuestra mascota. A Miss Cute Cat no le vendría mal un abrigo como este ^.^
 ¿Alguna otra idea para sobrevivir a la cuesta de Enero? Me gustaría saber que os hace sonreír un día gris de invierno. ¡Feliz finde!
The January squeeze. Christmas is officially over, sales started and  we'll do some shopping if we can. It's colder now and I must admit I don't like winter, specially this time of the year. But I found a solution; I wrap myself warm in layers, like an onion, but I wear something I really like, a colourful accessory and I go for a walk. Sunny days can be delightful too. Ah!, don't forget your pet. Miss Cute Cat could do with a winter coat like this one. ^.^
