Último finde del verano; te voy a echar de menos, ¿sabes? Ayer estuve organizando la ropa de mi peque y tomé algunas fotos con un sentimiento agridulce. La mitad ya no le sirve, ¡como han crecido mis niños este verano! Lo bueno, es que el verano también nos ha regalado dos sobrinas preciosas y ellas podrán usarlas. Algunos de estos vestidos, han sido hechos a mano, lo que los hace más especiales. Más fotos la próxima semana.

Last weekend of the summer; I´m going to miss you, do you know? Yesterday I was organizing my little girl wardrove, and I took some pics with a bittersweet feeling. Half of these, don´t fit her anymore, How much have my children grown during the summer? The good thing about it, is that summer brought us two beautiful nieces that would wear them. Some of these dresses are handmade which make them even more special. More pics next week.

De vez en cuando juego en mi armario imaginario. Hoy me he puesto un par de looks retro. Me gusta más el revival de los 60 y 70 más que la de los ochenta, así que un poco inspirada por una de mis series favoritas, Mad Men, he imaginado que llevaría para pasar un día en la oficina de Sterlig Cooper y asistir a una fiesta de cócteles. Estudié publicidad como parte de mi formación universitaria dentro de la rama de diseño gráfico. Tuve la suerte de trabajar en un estudio de packaging y la dinámica de trabajo y relación con el cliente es parecida, el brainstorming, la presentación de las maquetas... es uno de los aspectos que me atraen de esta serie americana, sin olvidar el diseño de interiores, la moda, sus carismáticos personajes... en fin, no puedo esperar a que se estrene la próxima temporada.¿Seguis esta serie? ¿Tenéis predilección por alguna época? 

Once in a while I like to play with my imaginery wardrobe. Today I have chosen two retro looks. I'm into 60's and 70's revival more than 80's, so I was inspired by one of my favourites tv shows at the moment, Mad Men. I imagine what I would wear if I was going to work for Sterling Cooper for a day, and have a cocktails party in the evening. I studied publicity as part of my graphic design degree at the University. I was lucky enough to work in a packaging studio and the dinamic looks similar: brainstorming, meeting and presenting your work to the client... This is one of the reasons why I love this program, but also the interior design, the fashion and all those carismatic characters... I can't wait for next season to start. Do you watch it? Is there any style that you like in particular?^.^

El pasado finde escapamos a las montañas. Las temperaturas aquí rondaban los 40º, así que hicimos una escapada a la casita de mis padres en el parque natural de Sierra Nevada. La casa se compró en los 70, y aunque ha sido renovada, queda algo de esa época.

Los niños disfrutaron mucho, pero lamentablemente tuvimos que volver antes de lo esperado. Haré más fotos la próxima vez.

Last weekend we all headed to the mountains. We reached 40º here, it was so hot that we decided to spend the weekend at my parent´s little cottage in Sierra Nevada´s natural park. The house was bought in the 70´s and althought it has been renovated, there´s something left. 
The children had a great time, but we had to come back earlier than we plan. I´ll take more pictures next time.

Packaging I love

No hay nada que me guste más que un buen envase. Recuerdo  como me fijaba ya en estos detalles desde pequeña, y coleccionaba cosas porque me gustaba su aspecto, ya fuera el envoltorio de un caramelo, una caja de cerillas..."No compres un libro por su cubierta " bueno tengo que admitir que a veces lo he hecho, quizás no un libro pero sí otras cosas.Lo último una barra de labios de The Balm, Mai Billsbepaid. No conocía esta marca hasta la semana pasada, me encanta su look y los nombres tan graciosos con los que han bautizado sus productos, ¿que os parece? ¡feliz finde!

There´s nothing I love more than a good packaging. I remember how I used to take notice when I was little, collecting things just because I loved their look, a sweet, a matches box..." Don´t judge a book by its cover" I must admit I have done it a few times, maybe not a book, but other things. Last week I bought a lipstick from The Balm, Mai Billsbepaid.I didn´t  Know this make before, but I love the whole look and the funny names of the products. What do you think about it? Ya hemos tenido que guardar la mayoría de estos vestidos ya que la peque no para de crecer. Pero ella encantada porque tiene tanto donde elegir. Además la primita estuvo la semana pasada de visita y nos trajo ¡MÁS ropa! Así que tenemos ropita hasta que tenga dos años. :)

We´ve already packed in a box most of this dresses because my baby has grown out of them. Anyway she´s happy because she has so much to choose from. Last week her little cousin visited us again and brought MORE clothes! So now she has clothes until she is two. :)

Hemos encontrado un tesoro. Bueno, mas bien nuestra primita nos ha traido una caja llena de ropa y fantásticos vestidos, muchos de ellos de estilo vintage. La afortunada no pudo resistirse a la cesta.

We found a treasure, arg! Well, a little cousin had brought us a box full of clothes and fantastic dresses, most of them vintage inspired. The lucky girl could´t resist going trough the clothes in the laundry basket.

Hoy abro esta sección en la que compartiré mis hallazgos en decoración, ropa o accesorios de estilo retro o vintage.

Buscando en el baúl de los recuerdos encontré algunos vestidos de mi infancia. La ropa vintage suele tener unos detalles y unos diseños únicos difíciles de encontrar ahora, sin pagar un alto coste por ello.Me encanta la variedad que pueden llevar las niñas, me aburre verlas siempre de rosa, así que mezclo una camiseta fucsia con un pantalón azul pastel de su hermano... Prácticamente he aprovechado casi todo lo que tenía, añadiéndole un broche o diadema de fieltro, (escribiré próximamente sobre esto).

Inaguro con unos fantásticos jerseys con cuello hechos a mano de mi hijo. Me encantan los motivos geométricos y el bordado a mano del cuello. ¿Os gusta lo vintage o hecho a mano?¿que os parecen?
Today I´m starting a new section where I´ll share my vintage or retro findings of clothing, accesories or home decor.
When I was looking  trough the clothes I kept from my son, I found some of my dresses from when I was a little girl. Vintage clothes usually have little details and an unique feel difficult to find now without paying a price. I love the variety of a girl wardrobe. I get bored of pink everywhere, so I like to combine a fuchsia top with baby blue trousers. That way she can wear almost all his brothers, just adding a girly felt brooch or hairband, (I´m writting about it soon).
I´m starting showing you two fantastic jumpers  handmade for my son. I love the geometric motifs and the embroidery of the collar. Do you like vintage clothing or handmade vintage inspired? What do you think about it?
