Golden Days

Aunque aquí no lo parezca en Granada, el otoño ya está aquí. Poco a poco vamos añadiendo capas a nuestra vestimenta para adaptarnos a los cambios climáticos que se producen en un sólo día.¿Quién no ha salido de casa con un precioso cielo azul de verano y ha vuelto empapada tras una repentina tormenta? Es el momento perfecto para ir mezclando vestidos y largas faldas de verano con algo más otoñal. Mis complementos favoritos estos días: un buen par de botas, un sombrero de fieltro, un pañuelo y una rebeca. Esta es mi propuesta con aire romántico-bohemio y colores otoñales para esta semana, ¿cual es la tuya?

Although it doesn´t like feel like autumn in Granada, It´s here to stay. We are adding more layers to our outfits to adapt them to this changing weather. You leave home with a beautiful summery blue sky and then return soaked after a sudden storm. This is the perfect time of the year to combine those summery dresses and long skirts with more autumnal garments. My favourite accessories these days: a good pair of boots, a fedora, a shawl and a cardigan.

Nueva estación / New Season

Nueva estación y nuevo comienzo.

Este año ha sido uno de los más complicados que recuerdo. He pasado la mitad del año con chequeos médicos y tres biopsias de las que sólo una tuvo un resultado normal. Estoy bien, y no he necesitado más tratamiento, pero tendré revisiones de mi dermatóloga cada 3 meses, (ya os hablé del melanoma aquí). A parte, algún incidente inesperado y algunos cambios, así que digamos que había demasiadas cosas en mi cabeza. Al volver de vacaciones no encontraba la inspiración y la energía para seguir con el blog. Lo último que quería es hacerlo como una obligación, así que me tomé un descanso. Y ¡aquí estoy de nuevo!

Si tuviera que resumir en una palabras los últimos meses escogería : convivencia. Los peques han tenido unas vacaciones fantásticas sin cole de verano, así que nos hemos tenido que adaptar a compartir los largos días, 24h. /7d. a la semana: viajes, playa, piscina, cenas en el patio, libros, juegos, manualidades... Días completos de tiempo en familia. El mayor va camino de convertirse en un "Frank de la jungla" y su hermana en bailarina, ¡aguanta más que cualquiera, y se atreve con cualquier estilo! Es muy interesante ver como cada uno desarrolla su personalidad.

New season and new begining.
This year has been one of the most complicated that I can remember. I spent the first half of the year having checkups and three biopsies, only one came out normal. I'm fine and I didn't need more treatment, but for now on, I will have checkups every three months, ( I talked about melanoma here )On top of that, we had unexpected incidents and some changes, so let's say I had too many things on my mind. When I came back from holidays I din't have the inspiration and energy to blog. I didn't want to blog because I have to, like an obligation, so I took a break. And I'm back!
Two words to describe the past few months: living together. The little ones had a fantastic holidays without summer school, so we had to adapt our lifes to share the long days 24/7 : trips, beach, swimming pool, dinner at the patio, books, games, crafts...Days filled with lots of family time. My boy is getting more excited about expolring nature,wild life... and the little girl is becoming a dancer, she can go on forever in any style! It's so interesting to watch how they are developing their own personalities .
I'll tell you more about our journey to the UK soon.

Ultimamente / Lately

¡Hola! Aquí estoy de nuevo. El mes pasado he estado ausente, pero en realidad creo que no he parado ni un momento. Tengo un montón de cosas que enseñaros.

• La peque ha estado enferma a menudo, y por primera vez, ha necesitado antibióticos. Sigue recuperándose. 
• Los niños disfrutaron con sus disfraces en Halloween. Este año, elabore el disfraz de bruja de mi peque, sencillo y cómodo, pero con personalidad. Lo llevó todo el día.
• Estuvimos en la sierra recogiendo castañas y jugando con las hojas doradas.
• He empezado a organizar el estudio, mucho más tarde de lo planeado, pero al menos creo que terminaré la próxima semana. 
• El pasado finde, terminé una muñeca amigurumi para mi bailarina, os hablaré de ella más adelante..
• Preparamos un álbum de fotos familiar, para el 70 cumpleaños de mi padre, desde su nacimiento hasta ahora. Participó toda la familia y quedó genial. 

Hello! I´m back. Last month I´ve been missing but I really been very bussy and doing stuff nonstop. I have lots to show you.

• My little one, has been ill quite often and for the very first time, she was on antibiotics. She is recovering now.
• Kids enjoyed their halloween costumes. This year I made the witch costume, simple and cozy but with character. She wore it for the whole day.
• We went to explore the Mountains and play with the golden leaves. After that, we picked up some chestnuts.
• I already started to clear up and organize my studio, later than what I plan but I hope It will be finish by the end of next week.
• Last weekend I finished an amigurumi doll for my little dancer. I´ll post more about it.
• We put together a family album, for my father 70s birthday, from his birth till now. All family contributed, and the result was terrific. 

La mala noticia, es que los últimos meses, he tenido problemas con mi portátil, que está cansado y viejo. Incluso hacer la cosa más simple, me lleva tiempo, y precisamente, este mes no me ha sobrado. Además, tengo un par de cursos on-line pendientes, que no creo que los pueda hacer en mi ordenador. ¿Os imagináis lo que hay en mi lista de Navidad, no?

A pesar de estos problemas, he subido un montón de fotos a mi ordenador, y entre todas, he encontrado las fotos del cumple pirata y del 2º cumple de mi niña, que no había compartido aquí. ¿os gustaría verlas? ^.^
Bad news: my computer is getting tired and old. I´ve been having troubles for the last months, and at the moment even the simplest task, takes ages, and precisely I don´t have lots of time. Also I have two on-line courses to take, but I´m not going to be able to do it in my laptop. Can you imagine what i is in my Xmas wishlist? I spite of everything, I managed to upload loads of photos. Among the photos I found some of the pirates birhtday, and my little girl second bithday, that I haven´t shared around here. Would you like to see them? ^.^

Estos días de lluvia me apetece sentarme en un cómodo sofá con una taza de té, unas galletas de canela, un bloc de dibujo... no me importaría nada rodearme de estos muebles, se está bien por aquí. Me encanta esta paleta de colores.

La semana pasada hemos admirado los colores del otoño antes de que los arboles se queden desnudos y llegue el frío invierno. También he hecho un hueco para acabar la acuarela. Ahora queda acostumbrarse al cambio horario y las pocas horas de luz¡Feliz semana amig@s!
Last week we´ve been admiring the beautiful colors of autumn before the leaves fall of the trees and the cold winter comes. I also made time to finish the watercolor. Now we have to get use to the lack of light and  the  clocks going back . Have a nice week, friends!

Lista de otoño / Autumn list

Ya acabó el verano y hemos vuelto a la rutina de los horarios escolares. Esta época del año me gusta organizar mi agenda con proyectos y objetivos para los meses de frío y lluvia. Este año en mi lista:

• Seguir pintando con acuarela o acrílicos,(tengo un par de proyectos en mente)
• Imprimir fotos y hacer albumes familiares
• Volver a montar en bici o danza del vientre los días que el tiempo no lo permita (ya he empezado con la bici :)
• Ordenar y deshacerme de lo que sobre en el estudio para volver a usarlo 
• Organizar la ropa de armarios y donar la que no necesitamos
• Hacer alguna manualidad con mi peque
• Enmarcar acuarelas y los textiles
• Preparar una merienda con amigos para mi peque (quizas Halloween?)
• Hacer un hueco para ver a los amigos
• Pintar la entrada de la casa

No sé si podré hacer todo lo que hay en la lista, pero lo intentaré(la peque está otra vez con los dientes y aún no anda así que parezco el jorobado de Notre Damme).

The summer is finish and we already have the rutine of the school days. This time of the year I like to organize my diary with the projects and goals for the next months of rainy and cold days. This year this is my to do list:

• Keep painting with watercolors and acrilics, (I have a couple of themes in my mind)
• Print family photos and create an album
• Ride my bicycle or do bellydance when bad weather (I already started with my bike :))
• Declutter the crafty room so I can make use of it
• Put in order the wardrobes and donate what we don´t need/use
• Make some cratfs with my little boy
• Frame some watercolors and textiles
• Invite my son´s friends for an afternoon ( maybe for Halloween?)
• Make some time to see my friends
• Paint the walls of the entrance of the house

I don´t know if I will achieve all, but I´ll try my best(the little one is teething again and is not walking yet, so I look like a hunchback).

Fall in love

El primer dia de otoño es nuestro aniversario de boda. Una mañana otonal, en una pequeña iglesia a los pies de la Alhambra...uff. Sin duda uno de los tres mejores días de mi vida. Este año lo celebramos  en familia comenzando el día con unos deliciosos creps dulces. Luego mis peques estuvieron viendo fotos de la boda, paseamos y salimos a comer fuera.¿Que mas puedo pedir?
The first day of autumn is our wedding aniversary. It was an autumnal morning, in a little church below the Alhambra palace...Without any doubt one of the best days of my life. This year we celebrated it with our family. We started the day having some sweet pancakes, then my little ones looked at our wedding pictures, we went for a walked and had luch at a restaurant. I can´t ask for a better day.
