Siento el retraso. Hemos estado aprovechando los últimos días de vacaciones en la playa, y nada más volver, la adaptación de la peque a la guarde. Días después, el cole su hermano mayor. Poco a poco vamos volviendo  a la rutina. ^.^

Sorry for the delay. We made the most of the last days of holidays at the beach, and as soon as we were back, my little girl started the period of adaptation at the nursery. Days later her little brother started school. Gradually we are going back to our rutine. ^.^

Fall in love

El primer dia de otoño es nuestro aniversario de boda. Una mañana otonal, en una pequeña iglesia a los pies de la Alhambra...uff. Sin duda uno de los tres mejores días de mi vida. Este año lo celebramos  en familia comenzando el día con unos deliciosos creps dulces. Luego mis peques estuvieron viendo fotos de la boda, paseamos y salimos a comer fuera.¿Que mas puedo pedir?
The first day of autumn is our wedding aniversary. It was an autumnal morning, in a little church below the Alhambra palace...Without any doubt one of the best days of my life. This year we celebrated it with our family. We started the day having some sweet pancakes, then my little ones looked at our wedding pictures, we went for a walked and had luch at a restaurant. I can´t ask for a better day.

Free amigurumi tutorial: Buho / Owl

A un nuevo primito en la familia no podía faltarle un amigurumi especialmenta hecho para él. Tomando de base el  pajarito de amigurumi y con unos cuantos cambios, ha nacido el Sr. Buho.Perfecto para un lluvioso finde de otoño. Espero que lo disfrutes.
MATERIALES NECESARIOS

• de crochet de 3 mm
• algodón nº 8 en  tres colores (crema, verde pastel y turquesa, en mi caso)
• aguja de coser lana
• crochet sencillo o punto bajo (CS), crochet sencillos juntos en disminución(CSJ)
• relleno: yo prefiero relleno de cojín, pero se puede usar algodón o cualquier material similar

TEJIENDO

Yo empecé tejiendolo por abajo, pero recomiendo empezar por la cabeza para que los remates de cierre se vean menos.Necesitamos hacer 6 piezas que luego uniremos.(foto1)

Cuerpo (crema)

• 6 CS en círculo mágico.  Ponemos un marcador en el primer punto de cada vuelta, (se puede usar un trocito de algodón en un color diferente, o un imperdible pequeño. Cuando llegamos otra vez a este punto hemos completado una vuelta.
• 2 CS en el siguente CS, toda la vuelta (12puntos)
• 1 CS, 2 CS en siguiente, toda la vuelta (18 puntos)
• 2 CS, 2 CS en siguiente, toda la vuelta (24 puntos)
• 1 CS en toda la vuelta
• 3 CS, 2 CS en siguiente, toda la vuelta (30 puntos)

Cuerpo (turquesa y verde claro): vamos alternando una vuelta con cada color elegido

• 1 CS alrededor en las 10 siguientes vueltas.
• Ahora es el mejor momento para coserle los ojos (explicados más adelante) y el pico. Con hilo del mismo color, coser los ojos bastante separados, dejando el centro justo por encima de las rallas de color. Con hilo de distinto color, o un triangulito de fieltro coser el pico entre los ojos (foto 3).
• 3 CS, 2 crochet sencillos juntos (CSJ) en disminucioón, toda la vuelta (24 puntos)
• 2 CS, 2  CSJ, toda la vuelta (18 puntos) 
• 1 CS, 2  CSJ, toda la vuelta (12 puntos)
• RELLENAR el cuerpo. Nos podemos ayudar con la aguja para empujarlo y dejarlo bien apretado
• 2 CSJ toda la vuelta (6 puntos)
• Cerrar

Ojos (turquesa):2

• 6 CS en  círculo mágico
• 2 CS en el siguente CS, toda la vuelta (12puntos)
• terminar con un punto sencillo

Cola (turquesa y verde claro)

• 6 CS en  círculo mágico (verde)
• 2 CS en el siguente CS, toda la vuelta (12puntos)(turquesa)
• terminar con un punto sencillo

Alas (crema):2

• 6 CS en  círculo mágico (verde)
• 2 CS en el siguente CS, toda la vuelta (12puntos)
• 3 CS, 2 CS en el siguente CS, toda la vuelta (15puntos)
• 1 CS alrededor en las 3 siguientes vueltas
• Cerrar

ASEMBLAJE:

Doblar las alas por la mitad y cerrarlas; coser a ambos lados. Hacer lo mismo con la cola (foto 2), que uniremos en la parte baja en el centro.Ya tienes a tu pequeño búho.

We have a new cousin in our family and every baby needs a little friend.I made a few changes to the   amigurumi little bird pattern and Mr. Owl was born.It´s the perfect project to make in a rainy weekend. I hope you enjoy it!

WHAT YOU NEED

• a 3 mm hook
• yarn nº 8 in  three different colors (cream, pale green and turquoise, in my case)
• a neddle
• single stitch (SC)* 
• to stuff: I preffer fiberfill, nut you could use cotton balls too.

I started from the bottom, but I recommended you start from top to bottom, that way you can´t see the finishing stitches. We need six pieces that  will be attached at the end (1st photo)

Body (cream)

• Make 6 SC (single stitch) in magic circle. I use a little safety pin and the end of each row, but you could use  a different color thread. Each time you reach it you have complete an row.
• 2 SC in each stitch around (12stitches)
• SC 1, 2 SC in the next st, continue all the way around (18 sts)
• SC 2, 2 SC in the next st, all the way around (24 sts)
• SC 1  in the next st, all the way around  ( 24 sts)
• SC 3, 2 SC in the next st, all the way around (30 sts)

Body (turquoise and pale green): alternate rounds with both colors

• SC 1  in the next st, all the way around in the next 10 rounds (30 sts)

• Now it´s the best moment to sew the eyes and the beak. Sew the eyes to the head with thread of matching color. They have to be apart and their centers just above the stripes. Embroider the beak using a different color thread or sew a felt triangle (3erd photo).
• SC 3,  decrease (dec) 2 in the next st, all the way around (24 stitches)
• SC 2,  dec 2 in the next st, all the way around (18 sts)
• SC 1,  dec 2 in the next st, all the way around (12 sts)  
• STUFF firmily the body
• Dec 2 in the next st, all the way around (6 sts)
• Fasten off

Eyes (turquoise): make two

• Make 6 SC (single stitch) in magic circle
• 2 SC in each stitch around (12stitches)
• Fasten off 

Tail (turquoise & pale green)

• Make 6 SC in magic circle (green)
• 2 SC in each stitch around (12stitches) (turquoise)
• fasten off

Wings (crema): make two

• Make 6 SC in magic circle (green)
• 2 SC in each stitch around (12stitches) 
• SC 3, 2 SC in the next SC, repeat all way around (15 sts)
• SC 1  in the next st, all the way around in the next three rounds ( 15 sts)
• Fasten off

JOINING: 

Fold wings in half and close them, sew to both sides of the body. Do the same with the tail (2nd photo) There you have it, you little Mr. Owl.
