I missed you / os echaba de menos

Os preguntareis que ha pasado Miss Cute Cat los últimos meses. A finales del año pasado volví a incorporarme a la vida laboral, por lo que todas mis rutinas se vieron alteradas, ya que contaba con mucho menos tiempo para los demás aspectos de mi vida como mamá, compañera... Pronto desapareció el poco tiempo que me dedicaba a mi misma (blog, crear...), eso unido al otras cosas como los chequeos médicos de principios de año, (ya os hablé antes del melanoma aquí), me fueron estresando, y fueron la gota que colmó el vaso, así que decidí que no podía con todo. Quería seguir en este rinconcito de la blogosfera, pero necesitaba organizar mi mundo. 

Los resultados de las pruebas médicas fueron buenos, por lo que estoy muy agradecida, aunque algunas tardaron casi dos meses (de nuevo es sensación de incertidumbre!).

El verano pasado volví a mis acuarelas, ¡había olvidado cuanto disfrutaba haciendo lo que más me gusta! Así que ahora no quería abandonarlo, y aunque no puedo practicar tanto como me gustaría, intento sacar algunos minutos aquí y allá,  porque crear es parte de lo que soy (subiré algunas fotos). No he encontrado mi camino aún pero sigo en ello. En cuanto a este blog, os he echado de menos. Tengo planes y muchas cosas que ya os iré mostrando, pero no sé aún con cuanta regularidad podré publicar. 

   Muchas gracias a todos los que habéis seguido MCC en algún momento, me habéis dado la energía para seguir adelante. Espero en esta nueva fase conoceros un poco más.

You might wonder what happened to Miss Cute Cat in the past months. I went back to work at the end of the year 2014, so all my rutines were disrupted, as I had so little time for the other aspects of my life as mother, wife, ...Soon all the time I had left for me dissapeared (blogging, painting...) other things, as the yearly test on melanoma ( I talked about it here), didn´t help at all, so I felt so stressed out that I decided I could´t take everything. I wanted to keep this little corner of the blogosfere, but I needed to organize my world.

We had good news on the results of the test, I´m so greatful, but some of the results took nearly two months (again that feeling of uncertainty).

Last summer I started to paint again with watercolours, I almost forgot how much I enjoy doing what I like! So I couldn´t give up now. I try to make some time here and there, because art is a part of me, (uploading some pics soon). I haven´t found my way in, but I keep trying. About this blog, I really missed you guys. I have some plans and lots of things to show you, but I don´t know yet how often I'll be able to post an entry.

Thanks to all of you that visited MCC, you gave me the energy to keep going. I hope in this new phase I get to know you better.

Nueva estación / New Season

Nueva estación y nuevo comienzo.

Este año ha sido uno de los más complicados que recuerdo. He pasado la mitad del año con chequeos médicos y tres biopsias de las que sólo una tuvo un resultado normal. Estoy bien, y no he necesitado más tratamiento, pero tendré revisiones de mi dermatóloga cada 3 meses, (ya os hablé del melanoma aquí). A parte, algún incidente inesperado y algunos cambios, así que digamos que había demasiadas cosas en mi cabeza. Al volver de vacaciones no encontraba la inspiración y la energía para seguir con el blog. Lo último que quería es hacerlo como una obligación, así que me tomé un descanso. Y ¡aquí estoy de nuevo!

Si tuviera que resumir en una palabras los últimos meses escogería : convivencia. Los peques han tenido unas vacaciones fantásticas sin cole de verano, así que nos hemos tenido que adaptar a compartir los largos días, 24h. /7d. a la semana: viajes, playa, piscina, cenas en el patio, libros, juegos, manualidades... Días completos de tiempo en familia. El mayor va camino de convertirse en un "Frank de la jungla" y su hermana en bailarina, ¡aguanta más que cualquiera, y se atreve con cualquier estilo! Es muy interesante ver como cada uno desarrolla su personalidad.

Os contaré más de nuestro viaje al Reino Unido en próximas entradas.

New season and new begining.
This year has been one of the most complicated that I can remember. I spent the first half of the year having checkups and three biopsies, only one came out normal. I'm fine and I didn't need more treatment, but for now on, I will have checkups every three months, ( I talked about melanoma here )On top of that, we had unexpected incidents and some changes, so let's say I had too many things on my mind. When I came back from holidays I din't have the inspiration and energy to blog. I didn't want to blog because I have to, like an obligation, so I took a break. And I'm back!
Two words to describe the past few months: living together. The little ones had a fantastic holidays without summer school, so we had to adapt our lifes to share the long days 24/7 : trips, beach, swimming pool, dinner at the patio, books, games, crafts...Days filled with lots of family time. My boy is getting more excited about expolring nature,wild life... and the little girl is becoming a dancer, she can go on forever in any style! It's so interesting to watch how they are developing their own personalities .
I'll tell you more about our journey to the UK soon.

Oh, Summer!

Lately

Como habrás notado hace un tiempo que no publico ninguna entrada. Podríamos decir que ha sido una pausa obligada: mis peques están de vacaciones + hemos viajado + problemas con nuestra conexión a internet. Gracias por seguir volviendo a este rinconcito.

Poco a poco todo está volviendo a la normalidad. Tengo muchas ganas de compartir algunos proyectos y fotos de nuestro viaje a U.K.

You probably notice that I haven't been blogging for a while. I could say it´s been a forced pause: my children are on holidays + we all had been away + we had problems with our internet conection. Thanks to all friends that keep visiting this little place.

Finally things are going back to normal. I have some projects to share and pictures from our trip to U.K.

Ultimamente / Lately

El último mes ha sido una montaña rusa, con días tranquilos de lluvia en los que nos hemos quedado en casa jugando, pintando, haciendo crochet ... Por las noches, hemos visto "Top of Lake" una serie corta, pero que me ha gustado, con espectaculares paisajes de Nueva Zelanda. El finde pasado estuve en el cine (si, con una peque de 2 años para mi es un acontecimiento),¡ gracias R! Mi hermana me invitó a ver una  peli del festival del Granada "Retroblack". Me sorprendió no ver más estudiantes. Cuando yo era universitaria era asidua a ese tipo de festivales.
La peque está empezando a jugar más a las muñecas y cosas más "típicas de niñas", aunque a los dos les encanta lego. Si, hay lego en cada habitación de la casa. 

Por otro lado, hemos recibido dos malas noticias, de esas que te hacen pensar sobre el curso de tu vida, han sido unos días un poco estresantes, de mucho pensar. Pero todo vuelve a su sitio y esta semana estoy más tranquila.

Si os habéis fijado, he hecho  unos pequeños cambios en el blog, que para mi eran necesarios, y aún quedan un par de cositas más.

We lived last month like a roller coaster, with quite rainy days that we stayed at home playing, painting, crocheting... Some nights we watched "Top of lake", a short series wich I enjoyed, with spectacular landscapes of New Zeland. Last weekend I went to the cinema (yes, with a two years old toddler, it's a special thing to me), thaks R! My sister invited me to see a film of the "Retroblack" film festival in Granada. I was surprised to only see a few students, I used to be a regular at these festivals when I was at the university.

My little girl is starting to play more with " girly stuff", but both of them love lego. Yes, we have lego in every room of the house.

In other hand, we recieved two bad news, the kind that makes you think about your life. Stresfull days, so much to think about. But things are returning to normal and I´m calmer this week.

You might notice a few changes around here, It seemed necessary to me. There's something more I want to add.

Ultimamente / Lately

¡Hola! Aquí estoy de nuevo. El mes pasado he estado ausente, pero en realidad creo que no he parado ni un momento. Tengo un montón de cosas que enseñaros.

• La peque ha estado enferma a menudo, y por primera vez, ha necesitado antibióticos. Sigue recuperándose. 
• Los niños disfrutaron con sus disfraces en Halloween. Este año, elabore el disfraz de bruja de mi peque, sencillo y cómodo, pero con personalidad. Lo llevó todo el día.
• Estuvimos en la sierra recogiendo castañas y jugando con las hojas doradas.
• He empezado a organizar el estudio, mucho más tarde de lo planeado, pero al menos creo que terminaré la próxima semana. 
• El pasado finde, terminé una muñeca amigurumi para mi bailarina, os hablaré de ella más adelante..
• Preparamos un álbum de fotos familiar, para el 70 cumpleaños de mi padre, desde su nacimiento hasta ahora. Participó toda la familia y quedó genial. 

Hello! I´m back. Last month I´ve been missing but I really been very bussy and doing stuff nonstop. I have lots to show you.

• My little one, has been ill quite often and for the very first time, she was on antibiotics. She is recovering now.
• Kids enjoyed their halloween costumes. This year I made the witch costume, simple and cozy but with character. She wore it for the whole day.
• We went to explore the Mountains and play with the golden leaves. After that, we picked up some chestnuts.
• I already started to clear up and organize my studio, later than what I plan but I hope It will be finish by the end of next week.
• Last weekend I finished an amigurumi doll for my little dancer. I´ll post more about it.
• We put together a family album, for my father 70s birthday, from his birth till now. All family contributed, and the result was terrific. 

La mala noticia, es que los últimos meses, he tenido problemas con mi portátil, que está cansado y viejo. Incluso hacer la cosa más simple, me lleva tiempo, y precisamente, este mes no me ha sobrado. Además, tengo un par de cursos on-line pendientes, que no creo que los pueda hacer en mi ordenador. ¿Os imagináis lo que hay en mi lista de Navidad, no?

A pesar de estos problemas, he subido un montón de fotos a mi ordenador, y entre todas, he encontrado las fotos del cumple pirata y del 2º cumple de mi niña, que no había compartido aquí. ¿os gustaría verlas? ^.^
Bad news: my computer is getting tired and old. I´ve been having troubles for the last months, and at the moment even the simplest task, takes ages, and precisely I don´t have lots of time. Also I have two on-line courses to take, but I´m not going to be able to do it in my laptop. Can you imagine what i is in my Xmas wishlist? I spite of everything, I managed to upload loads of photos. Among the photos I found some of the pirates birhtday, and my little girl second bithday, that I haven´t shared around here. Would you like to see them? ^.^

Ultimamente / Lately

JUNIO /JUNE:

• Disfrutando de mi cumpleaños con mi pequeña familia./ Todos esperaban el nacimiento de mi preciosa sobrina, que nació un día después de mi cumple. No podía pedir un regalo mejor. ^.^ 
• El disfraz de robot: la peque no pudo resistirse, y mi robot estaba enfermo unas horas antes de la fiesta. Después de un paracetamol y un descanso, estaba listo para el rock & roll...por un par de horas.

• Enjoing my birthday with my little family / Everyone was waiting for the birth of my beautiful niece, born just the day after my birthday. I really couldn´t ask for a better present. ^.^
• The robot costume: this little girl couldn´t ressist the fun, and my poor boy was ill hours before the party. After some medication and some rest he was ready to rock...for a couple of hours.

JULIO / JULY:

• Diversión de verano: dragones, juegos de piscina, un visita al acuario, y un merecido descanso en nuestro hotel favorito junto al mar.
• Mi chico también fue a un curso de una semana en el Museo de las Ciencias, con otros niñ@s de su edad. Le encantó, sobre todo explorar su vena de paleontólogo. 

• Summer fun: dragons, pool, a visit to the acuarium and a well deserved rest at our favourite hotel by the beach.
• My boy also went to a summer camp at the science Museum for a week, with kids of the same age. He loved it, especially exploring his palaeontologist side.

AGOSTO / AUGUST:

• Hemos estado en la playa los últimos 15 días. (más fotos pronto)
• No tenía ordenador ni acceso a internet. Ha sido un poco extraño, pero me he acostumbrado.
• Es el cumple de mi peque en una semana, así que ya lo estoy planeando.

¿Qué planes tienes para el resto del verano?¿Necesitas ayuda con un disfraz de robot? ^.^

• We have been at the beach the last 15 days. (more pics soon)
• I didn´t have a computer or internet access. It´s been a bit strange but I got used to.
• It´s my son´s birthday in a week´s time, so I´m already planning the party.

Ultimamente / Lately

Este último mes ha sido caótico. Hemos que tenido que hacer ajustes en nuestros horarios habituales, un viaje repentino, varios cambios de ropa de verano-invierno y viceversa, noches de muuuchos despertares, visitas de compromiso...y tanto cambio no ha encajado bien en nuestras rutinas. Estamos agotados y aún así mi cabeza está llena de cosas por hacer. Siempre he sido un poco hormiguita, pero creo que ahora necesito parar un poco el ritmo.

Este mes en mi cabeza:

1. Tengo que aplicarme esta cita. Mis dos chicos y mi pequeña se merecen que aún en los días de travesuras y rabietas interminables, tras una noche terrible, tenga aún más paciencia.
2. Necesito organizar el estudio para el verano; está en la parte mas fresca de la casa donde pasaremos muchas horas los próximos meses.
3. Comenzamos la temporada de cumpleaños inagurándola con el mío el hoy, aunque los más importantes son los de los peques, para ellos si quiero planear algo especial.
4. Tengo un proyecto creativo entre manos. Espero avanzar un poco más para enseñároslo en primicia.
5. Las vacaciones están a la vuelta de la esquina y no hemos decidido donde las vamos a pasar. Pensábamos volver a Inglaterra-Gales con la familia, pero si sumamos dos trayectos de coche más el avión, mínimo son 9h. ¿Demasiado para un bebe?

¿Algo más? Sí, tengo que hacerle un disfraz de robot a mi pirata, para la fiesta de verano del cole. Ya os lo enseñaré si sale bien.
Así es la vida.^.^

Busy bee by misscutecat featuring a nail polish

Last month was chaotic. We had to make some changes in our usual schedule, a sudden trip, two changes of wardroves (from summer to winter clothes and all the way around again), lots of sleepless nights, a few visits...Lots of things that didn´t fit very well in our rutines. We are exhausted and even so my mind is full of things to do. I always been a busy bee, but I think I need to slow down.

This month in my head:

1. "KEEP CALM AND LOVE my BRITISH BOYS (and the little girl)". I have to embrace this quote. My boys and my little girl deserve that even after a sleepless night and a day full of tantrums and mischief, I remain patient.
2. I need to organize the study for summer; it´s in the coolest part of the house where we´ll be spending a lot of time the next months.
3. Today we start the birthday season at home, yes I´m the birthday girl. I´m just doing a little celebration. Even so I want to plan something special for the kids birthdays, they are looking foward to a special party.
4. I´m working on a creative project, and I hope I can show you something soon.
5. Holidays: we haven´t decide anything yet. We wanted to visit the family in Wales & England, but after a recent trip we aren't sure. We have to travel by car and plane, a minimum of 9hours, and I'm just thinking: is it too much for my toddler?

Anything else? Yes, I have to make a robot costume for my little pirate (the school summer party). I'll put some pics if it turns ok.

That´s life. ^.^

Ultimamente / Lately

Las últimas semanas, la primavera nos ha regalado unos días soleados y largas tardes que hemos aprovechado bien. Los peques han recordado lo bien que se lo pasan jugando en el jardín y en el patio, han alimentado los patos del parque... y juntos hemos paseado por el centro  antiguo de nuestra ciudad, Granada. ¿Cuales son tus planes para estos días primaverales? ^.^

Last few weeks: Spring brought us beautiful sunny days and late sunsets. We made the most of these days.The little ones remembered how much they enjoy playing outside at the garden, they fed the hungry ducks at the partk... and we all went for a few walks around the old city center of Granada, our city. How do you spend these sunny days? ^.^

Febrero loco, un mes de contrastes. Recientemente: una mañana en el parque de las ciencias, un niño llevando su sombrero favorito, un hada hablando por teléfono, San Valentín, nieve...
A crazy February full of contrast. Lately: a morning at the science museum, a boy wearing his favourite hat, a fairy on the phone, Valentine´s day, snow...

 Ayer nos despertamos a este paisaje. Casi todos los inviernos tenemos alguna nevadita en Granada, pero pocas veces cuaja como lo hizo ayer. Era el día de Andalucía, así que todos pudimos disfrutar de un día de nieve. ^.^

Yesterday we woke up to this view. Most of the winters we have some snow in Granada, but we rarely have enought to make a snowman, like yesterday. It was the day of Andalucía, (bank holiday) so we all enjoyed the snow. ^.^

Ultimamente / Lately

Siento haber estado ausente durante el último mes. Mi pequeña ha tenido dos resfriados y le han salido las cuatro muelas a la vez, suficiente para tener noches sin dormir y unos días muy ajetreados. Además ha decidido que ya es lo bastante "mayor" y ya sólo duerme una siesta. Por otro lado a mi peque se le ha caído su primer diente de leche, así que el Ratoncito Pérez, le ha dejado un regalito muy chulo. Espero que todo vuelva a la normalidad con nuestra nueva rutina, y pronto pueda seguir con mis entradas habituales. Gracias por seguirme . ^.^

I am sorry for the lack of posting this month.  My little girl had two  colds and four mollars out, enought to have some sleepless nights and very busy days. She's also decided that she's a proper  toddler now, so she has only one nap a day. Meanwhile my son lost his first milk tooth, so tooth fairy brought him a cute present. Hopefully things will go back to normal with our new rutine and  I am hoping to get back to my regular posts soon. Thanks for follow me. ^.^  

Una ojeada a nuestros últimos días:el tiempo más frío, Lego un clásico, mis pequeños amores y juegos de niñas con Blythe. 

Mañana celebraremos el día de las tortitas, MMmmm. Mis favoritas son las dulces, fruta fresca, fresas, plátano...y un poco de chocolate caliente, ¿cuál es el tuyo?
